Founder

Artur Kade is the founder of Participate Film Academy. He is also one of the mentors who guide each class of students through the often complicated, sometimes daunting and always exhilarating process of making a movie.

After escaping Poland's oppressive communist regime in his late teens, Artur dedicated himself to studying photography and film. He has since directed hundreds of short films, training and educational programs, and corporate and marketing productions. In the last three years he has produced four feature films.

Working life for Artur began making wedding videos. He launched and then built one of the most successful wedding video companies in Australia, and was inducted into the WEVA International Hall of Fame in 2002.

Over the years Artur diversified into multimedia and worked with top Australian businesses such as Boral, Dairy Farmers, McWilliam's Wines and Qantas; government departments such as AusIndustry, Austrade, the Department of Defence, the NSW Department of Planning, the NSW Department of State and Regional Development, and the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority; plus many other clients. Commissions have taken him overseas to India, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the US.

Since 2005, Artur has been discovering, nurturing and promoting young talent through Participate. He holds executive producer and producer credits for the four films made at the school: Battle Therapy, Battle Therapy Too, Green Fire Envy and Sweet Marshall.

Artur lives in Sydney with his wife of 27 years, Beata, and their three children, Monica, Orlanda and Sebastian.
